Citizens Tell State Officials about Flood Recovery

About 50 people, including members of municipal governments, families affected by Tropical Storm Irene, and case managers assisting their recovery, gathered at the Bridgewater Village School on February 9 to meet with state officials.  This Community Recovery Partnership Meeting for residents of Bridgewater, Woodstock, Barnard, Plymouth and Reading was part of a series throughout affected parts of the state.

The State of Vermont is holding these meetings to learn from both  the people who were affected by Irene and recovery workers.  Officials asked what their concerns were and how the response can  be improved.   They will also use this input to apply to preparations for future disasters.
